Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 111.20 feet

Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 111.20 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with nil inflow and a discharge of 256 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 35.33 feet (maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 228 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. The combined storage in Periyar credit was 1,433.37 mcft. Chittampatti recorded 16.2 mm, Viraganur 1 mm and Sothupparai dam 0.2 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
