Adi Kavya, a Chinese dance-drama production based on the Ramayana, brings together over 50 dancers and actors in Beijing. Created by Bharatanatyam artist Jin Shanshan, the two-hour production took more than six months to complete. In an interaction with The Hindu, she speaks about how the production came together and why the Ramayana resonates with Chinese audiences.
