Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, a towering figure of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement and close associate of Martin Luther King Jr., has died at 84. From marching in Selma to running twice for the U.S. presidency, Jackson championed racial justice, economic equality and voting rights for decades.
