Large groups of pro-Iranian protesters marched in Baghdad on Sunday (March 1) following U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran. Security forces fired tear gas to stop demonstrators from reaching the U.S. Embassy in the city’s heavily guarded Green Zone. The strikes came after the reported killing of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in joint U.S. and Israeli air attacks.
