Vivo announces V70 Elite and V70 for February 19

Vivo on Thursday (February 5, 2026) announced the launch of their new V series smartphones in India: the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite. The camera-centric series will be launched on February 19.

The new Vivo V70 series will succeed the V60 series launched last year. As per the trend set by it, the V70 series will also have the ZEISS certification for its camera system.

The upcoming Vivo V70 series will get a 50 MP ZEISS telephoto camera paired with segment’s largest 1.3cm sensor and 4K 60fps with zoom clarity.

The Chinese smartphone maker further announced that Vivo V70 Elite will run on Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. It is likely to get up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

Both, Vivo V70 and V70 Elite will operate on OriginOS 6 out of the box, with a likely pairing on Android 16. Vivo is guessed to offer 4 OS and 6 years of security patches to the series.

The smartphones will also come with a suite of advanced and new AI features across photography and user experiences.

Vivo V70 series is expected to get up to 6,000 mAh battery, backed by an 80W charger inside the box.

Vivo is likely to use a flat display in both the phones with peak nit brightness exceeding up to 6,500 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Vivo V70 series will land in the premium segment with the base variant expected to get an above 40K price tag while the Elite getting a more elitist number.
