District Collector R. Sukumar has introduced ‘Vetri Nadai’ free coaching programme for physically, mentally and intellectually moulding the youth to successfully get through the rigorous recruitment of Tamil Nadu police and the armed forces. This initiative will benefit graduates searching for jobs, students of undergraduate programmes, college dropouts and the students who did not pursue their studies after Plus Two etc. The aspirants will be benefited through the ‘Vetri Nadai’ free training sessions to be conducted in Palayamkottai, Maanur, Tirunelveli, Nanguneri, Radhapuram, Thisaiyanvilai, Cheranmahadevi and Ambasamudram taluks, where a team of experts will physically, mentally and intellectually prepare the candidates for the recruitment being conducted by Tamil Nadu police, Central Reserve Police Force and Border Security Force and for ‘Agniveer’ programme. While the physical training sessions for the aspirants will be conducted between 5.30 a.m. and 7.30 a.m. from Monday to Friday, coaching for the written tests and personal interviews will be organised between during weekends between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Hence, men and women who are in the age between 17 and 25 and are really interested in joining Tamil Nadu police, BSF, CRPF and the armed forces should come to the any of the following places on Sunday (January 18) at 9 a.m. to understand about the training programme and get themselves registered: MDT Hindu College, Pettai (for Tirunelveli taluk), Shankar Higher Secondary School, Shankar Nagar (for Palayamkottai taluk), Ambai Arts College (for Ambasamudram Taluk), St. John’s Higher Secondary School, Veeravanallur (for Cheranmahadevi Taluk), Shankar Reddiyar Higher Secondary School, Nanguneri (for Nanguneri Taluk), Government Higher Secondary School, Valliyoor (for Radhapuram Taluk), RECT Polytechnic College, Vijayanarayanam (for Thisaiyanvilai Taluk) and Shankari Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Thevarkulam (for Maanur Taluk).
