The programme titled ‘A Stepping Stone to Viksit Bharat 2047’ was aimed at strengthening the local businesses, driving industrial growth through import substitution, and advancing the country’s self-reliance.

MRPU Regional Director Kitheri Joseph inaugurated the event in which the vendors were given awareness to sharpen their purchasing skills, acquire essential tools, and expertise on competitive markets, network with scientific leaders, and uncover new opportunities.

G. Sreekumar Pillai, Director of IGCAR Kalpakkam, in his inauguration address highlighted the programme’s ability to bridge the technology gaps, foster innovation, and align with the “Make in India” policy to achieve nationwide self-reliance. Ved Singh, Director of the Directorate of Purchase and Stores, also participated.
