Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday (March 6, 2026) said four new trains will be introduced in the State — a mainline electrical multiple unit (MEMU) train from Palakkad to Pollachi, Mayiladuthurai-Karaikudi passenger, Amrit Bharat Express from Podanur to Dhanbad, and the Mangaluru-Tirunelveli express train.
