Speaking at TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Con Mangaluru-2026, a convention of startups, Capt. Chowta said that the summit to be organised by the Ministry of External Affairs is likely to be held either in April or May. “Ministry of External Affairs is having a dialogue in 10 cities in the country to promote tech, trade and tourism. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has agreed to organise a summit in Mangaluru. It’s format is being finalised,” the MP said. Rohit Bhat, president, TiE Mangaluru said that the TiE, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and Silicon Beach Programme are aiming at flourishing of over 4,000 startups, at least five unicorns and at least 10 to 15 angel investors in Mangaluru region in the next decade.
