The Flying Squad Team in Dindigul district on Tuesday seized ₹3.01 lakh unaccounted cash from a goods vehicle at Sellamanthadi check-post. On inspection, the officials found that the amount in cash was being carried without any supporting documents. The Flying Squad seized the cash and the amount was handed over to the Assistant Returning officer. Similarly in Theni district, the Static Surveillance Team conducted an inspection near Tamil Nadu and Kerala check-post. During the inspection, the officials seized ₹1.20 lakh from a goods vehicle from Bodinayakanur. They found that the amount in cash was being carried without any supporting documents.
