Ugrappa has urged the State government to include reservation that was increased by the then Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai into Schedule IX. He was addressing a press conference in Yadgir on Monday. Mr. Ugrappa said that the State government should fill all vacant posts, providing 56% reservation. It is essential to provide reservation to the deprived communities based on their social and economic status, he added. He urged the Chief Minister to call for an all-party meeting to meet the Prime Minister to provide justice to the deprived communities and also demanded that Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes legislators raise their voice in support of this. Varadandeshwar Swami of Golappalli Mutt, Goudappagouda Aldal, Sahebgouda Nayak, Mareppa Nayak, Hanumanth Nayak, Ramu Nayak, Narasappa Nayak and Siddalingappa Nayak were present.
