Two youths die in road accident in Kurnool

Two youths who sustained critical injuries in a road accident on Tuesday night died while undergoing treatment at Government Hospital in Kurnool on Wednesday.

According to the police, the incident occurred on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway near KV Subbareddy Engineering College, on the outskirts of Kurnool, late on Tuesday evening. Bhairavi (27) was reportedly crossing the highway when she was knocked down by Arvind (22), who was riding a bike at high speed. Both sustained severe injuries in the collision.

They were immediately shifted to the Government Hospital, where they succumbed to injuries during treatment on Wednesday. Police said both the deceased were residents of Kurnool. A case has been registered, and further investigation is under way.
