Two persons killed after being knocked down by a speeding truck near Maduranthakam

Two persons were killed after a heavy truck hit the two-wheeler on Palar bridge near Maduranthakam on Wednesday. 

A senior police official of Chengalpattu district said Abinesh and Charles were residents of Avadi and were proceeding in a two-wheeler to Puducherry on the GST Road. As the vehicle was proceeding on the Palar bridge, a speeding truck, while trying to overtake them, knocked the vehicle. In the accident, both persons were thrown from the vehicle and were killed on the spot after sustaining severe head and body injuries. The driver of the truck immediately escaped from the truck.
