Police arrested two minors for their alleged involvement in a house burglary and recovered gold and silver ornaments from them on Wednesday.

Addressing the media here, Kurnool Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) J. Babu Prasad said that Venkatasubbaiah, a retired employee of a private paper mill, from Ameen Abbas Nagar under Kurnool IV town police limits, went to Kadapa on March 27, 2026, for some work.

On the night of March 29, unknown persons allegedly broke into the house, forced open the almirah and stole 20 tola gold and 10 tola silver ornaments. After his return, Mr. Venkatasubbaiah lodged a complaint with the police and special teams were formed to nab the accused.

After verifying the CCTV footage, police tracked the accused and caught them at Mungalapadu summer storage tank on Wednesday morning. The arrested duo were identified as minors and the stolen property was recovered from them. On the occasion, the DSP cautioned people to take precautions while sleeping on the terrace or outside the house and to properly safeguard their houses.
