Two persons were arrested by the Medipally police on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in connection with a robbery. The accused were identified as Battini Ravin, 21, a resident of Ramanthapur and native of Karimnagar, and Guntipally Raghu, 19, also a resident of Ramanthapur and native of Yadagirigutta. According to the police, the incident was reported on February 12 at around 9.45 p.m. when the complainant, after closing her shop, was walking towards her house at Panchavati Colony carrying three bags. At Kranthi Colony, the accused approached her on a two-wheeler, snatched the bags containing a gold chain, a mobile phone, cash, ATM card, PAN card and Aadhaar card, and fled the scene. A case was registered by Medipally police and special teams comprising officials from Uppal Central Crime Station (CCS) were formed to trace the offenders. Based on technical evidence, analysis of CCTV footage and local intelligence inputs, the accused were identified and apprehended. Police seized two mobile phones, two two-wheelers and the stolen PAN card, Aadhaar card, voter ID card and a leather bag. Further investigation is underway.
