Two persons both aged around 45 years, were killed in a road accident when a container lorry rammed into their two-wheeler on NH-16, near Tallapalem, under Kasimkota police station limits in Anakapalli district on Thursday. The lorry driver has been taken into custody. According to Kasimkota police, the container lorry was travelling from Yelamanchili towards Anakapalli, when it hit the two-wheeler from behind. The impact threw the riders onto the road, leaving them with severe injuries. They were immediately shifted to the NTR Hospital in Anakapalli for treatment, but both succumbed to their injuries. Circle Inspector, Kasimkota police station, A Swamy Naidu inspected the accident spot.
