Two men were injured in stabbing incidents reported in Rein Bazar early on Sunday (April 5). The accused have been identified as Rehan Akhwan alias Roxy, Mohd Akbar Pasha alias Tabar alias Abbu alias Tabbu Bah, Sijju Agha and Asghar. While Rehan is a suspect sheeter, Tabar is a rowdysheeter, police said. According to the police, the incident began around 3 a.m. when 20-year-old Shaik Moin Ahmed was on his way to a medical shop near Ganga Nagar Nala to purchase medicines. He was allegedly stopped and assaulted by the accused over previous enmity. Rehan is said to have attacked him with a knife, causing an injury to his left hand. Later, Moin Ahmed, along with his family members, went to Omar Farooq graveyard where the accused were present. When his brother Shaik Abbas Ahmed questioned them, an argument ensued between both the groups during which Rehan allegedly stabbed Abbas in the stomach, causing bleeding injuries. The injured was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment. Police said a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and special teams have been formed to apprehend the accused, who are currently absconding.
