Two persons were injured in a fire accident reported at a solar power plant near Appaiyanaickenpatti on Sunday. The injured were identified as T. Arulmozhi (33), working as a manager from Ariyalur and an electrician, M. Ramachandran (25) of Arasakudumbanpatti. The police said that Ramachandran and Arulmozhi had seen smoke emanating from an inverter. Both of them had tried to set right the technical fault. However, before they could flee from the scene, the inverter exploded injuring both of them. They sustained over 30% burns.
