Two end life in separate cases in Kukatpally

Two persons ended their lives in separate cases in Kukatpally on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

In the first incident, a 23-year-old woman died after jumping from the third floor of her workplace in the KPHB area. The deceased was identified as Punnagu Anitha, an employee of a private company located in the CBCID Colony, KPHB.

According to the police, the incident was reported around noon on February 4. Anitha sustained severe injuries to her head, face and body and was rushed to a private hospital in Nizampet for treatment, where she later succumbed to her injuries at around 5.40 p.m..

Her mother, Punnagu Radha, a farmer from Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh, lodged a complaint stating that her daughter had been suffering from frequent dizziness and health issues due to low blood levels and may have been mentally distressed over her condition. She told the police that Anitha was married in 2021 to Dara Srinivasulu, a private employee residing in Bachupally, and the couple has a daughter. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated a probe.

In another incident, a 40-year-old man was found dead at his residence in Prashanth Nagar. The deceased was identified as P. Srinivas, a native of Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh, who had been living alone in Kukatpally. Police said Srinivas was working at a local skin care hospital and was special needs individual.

According to the police, Srinivas had told his friend on Tuesday morning that he was leaving for work. However, when the friend returned home in the evening, he found Srinivas lying lifeless. A note was recovered from the scene in which the man reportedly stated that he was fed up with his life. Police suspect that he was allegedly distressed over remaining unmarried due to his physical disability.

The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination. Police have registered a case and initiated a probe.
