Two children drown in water tank at a house under construction

Two boys, both aged 5, drowned after falling into a water tank at a house under construction at Padalur village near Perambalur on Friday.

The police said the tragedy struck around 7 p.m. at the house being constructed by Senthil Kumar, 50, in Padalur. A water tank, measuring about five feet in depth and located about four feet above ground level, had around three feet of water in it.
