Two boys missing in Pampa River near Ranni

The Fire and Rescue department on Monday launched a search to trace two teenagers who went missing in the Pampa river near Ranni.

The victims, whose identities are yet to be confirmed and who are reportedly from Konni and Mylapra, had come to Ranni with ten friends to meet their classmates.

The children entered the river at Kalarickal Ghat near Aithala but were swept away by strong undercurrents in the evening. Their bodies are yet to be recovered.
