The Kalaburagi district police have arrested two persons on charges of stealing high-end motorcycles and recovered 14 two-wheelers worth ₹12.5 lakh from their possession. The accused have been identified as Nagesh R. Halagenur, a resident of Pastapur village in Chincholi taluk, and Gowdappa S. Kakkasagera, from Rampur village in Jewargi taluk. Following a complaint filed by Basavaraj Ankalagi regarding the theft of his motorcycle from Hale Hebbal village under the Madabool police station limits, a special team was formed under the supervision of Shahabad Sub-Divisional Police Officer Shankargouda Patil and led by Kalagi Circle Inspector Jagadevapppa Pala. During interrogation, the accused revealed their involvement in several other cases and led the police to the recovery of additional stolen motorcycles. They were remanded in judicial custody.
