: Police arrested two assistant professors on Thursday for allegedly circulating a defamatory pamphlet aimed at tarnishing the reputation of a woman professor at the Tamil Nadu Open University in Saidapet. According to the police, the complainant, a 40-year-old professor at the university, discovered that pamphlets were circulated linking her with another woman professor and depicting their conduct in a derogatory and false manner. The incident reportedly caused shock and tension within the university campus. Following the incident, the woman professor lodged a complaint at the Saidapet All-Women Police Station. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Harassment of Women Act and initiated an investigation.
