Seized spurious seeds | Photo Credit: By Arrangement Two persons were arrested after police intercepted a vehicle transporting banned BG-III cotton seeds worth ₹90 lakh near Medchal on Friday, April 3, 2026. The accused were identified as Talari Ramesh, a driver, and Chevula Narsimulu, the vehicle owner, both residents of Kosgi Mandal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. Police said the consignment was being transported from Kurnool to Nagpur, with the receiver’s details to be shared only upon arrival.
