Two persons were arrested by the cyber crime wing of the Malkajgiri police in separate cases involving investment and job frauds as part of a week-long crackdown between April 5 and April 10, 2026. In the first case, Chamala Balakishan Reddy, a resident of Jaipuri Colony in Nagole, was arrested for supplying bank accounts to cyber fraudsters on a commission basis. Police said the individual enabled the transfer of cheated money through multiple accounts, one of which was linked to as many as 21 cases registered on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
