The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Tambaram City Police arrested two men for allegedly cheating a businessman of ₹4.62 crore by promising to arrange large extents of agricultural land to buy. 

The police said the accused, Harikrishnan, 56, of Anumanthapuram, and Raghupathi, 59, of Adyar in Chennai, had conspired to cheat the complainant, a businessman from Adyar. They claimed that they could arrange around 100 acres of agricultural land in areas under Maraimalai Nagar taluk and Anumanthapuram village by purchasing it from various landowners and transferring it to him.
