The Dakshina Kannada police have arrested two accused persons, who had failed to appear before jurisdictional courts for several years. The police arrested Alwyn Rodrigues, who had failed to appear before the court for 13 years in an assault case registered against him in Punjalkatte police station limits in 2013. The police secured Rodrigues from a house in Sampigenagar in Bengaluru. He was produced before the court, which remanded Rodrigues to judicial custody, the police said. The police also arrested Nanjunda, who was accused in a dacoity case registered in Dharmasthala police station in April 2017. He had not appeared before the court for the last five years and a non-bailable warrant was issued against him. Nanjunda was secured from Guddenahalli in Bengaluru and produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody, the police said.
