Tourism Minister R. Rajendran on Tuesday (March 31, 2026) said that the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has an indirect alliance with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendran Modi.

The Minister participated in the functions held at Salem North, Salem West, Salem South, and Omalur Assembly constituencies and introduced the candidates of the DMK and its alliance among the party-led alliance functionaries.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that in Salem district, the DMK alliance will win all the 11 Assembly constituencies. Every survey report ensures that the DMK alliance will win more than 200 constituencies. “But, we have to work carefully and cautiously,” he said.

The Minister added that the cadre should visit every house and meet the voters, especially women and the youth. “Cadres should explain to voters aged between 18 and 25 to not be deceived by cinema. This craze for actors is not helpful and they (young voters) should not believe in that,” he said. The Minister advised the cadre to convince the youth as to why they should vote for the DMK alliance that works for people,
