TTD Joint Executive Officer (Health and Education) A. Sharath visited the free dispensary at Tholappa Garden near Tiruchanur Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple and also the first aid centre at Alipiri Padala Mandapam on Wednesday. After inspecting the infrastructure available at the two facilities, he said the seven first-aid centres and five dispensaries currently managed by the temple management would be upgraded to accommodate five to 10 beds to meet any emergencies. While 100-150 outpatients avail the medical services every day in Tiruchanur, Mr. Sharath wants the quality of free medical care to be further improved. “Even minor medical assistance during emergencies can instil immense confidence among patients,” he said. Mr. Sharath, during his visit to Alipiri first-aid centre, instructed the officials to maintain adequate stock of essential medicines, keeping in view the needs of the trekking devotees. TTD Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kusuma Kumari and hospital superintendent Dr. Suharlatha were present.
