Adani Foundation on Thursday (February 19) organised a ‘Sanitation Management Training Programme’ at Gummaladibba village of Thaminapatnam gram panchayat in Chillakur mandal of SPSR Nellore district. Over 150 residents, including youth, women, the elderly and fisherfolk, participated in the programme on its first day. The campaign, launched on the direction of Jagdish Patel, chief executive officer of Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited, aims to keep homes and village lanes clean by way of instilling the habit of disposing of waste properly. It intends to make village youth, women and the elderly learn the skills of managing solid and liquid waste generated in households. Several community leaders participated in the programme, and Yuva Shakti Social Welfare Group played key role in the event.
