RAO The ideas of women entrepreneurs are being transformed into reality through the Rural Incubation, Skilling and Entrepreneurship Centre (RISE), and efforts are being made to fulfil the vision of ‘One Family-One Entrepreneur’, said NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha. Addressing the media after inspecting the RISE Centre at Guntupalli Zilla Parishad, the first centre in the State set up under the aegis of the Union government through NITI Aayog on Saturday, Mr. Lakshmisha said they were working towards achieving the goal of ‘One Family-One Entrepreneur’ by training 5,000 women to become entrepreneurs. Of the total women, 1,000 have already become entrepreneurs, he added. Recalling that NITI Aayog had sanctioned the State’s first RISE Centre to NTR district in August 2025, he said that since then women were being provided training in entrepreneurship through organisations such as Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, and other skill development institutions. The Collector said women were receiving training in skill development, marketing, finance, and the use of social media platforms. Through this centre, women can learn product manufacturing, marketing, and ways to increase income, the Collector said, adding that the centre will also help in raising awareness among women on effectively utilising available government schemes, bank-linked loans, acquiring technical knowledge, and making use of online marketing opportunities. Mr. Lakshmisha urged women to make use of this opportunity, grow as entrepreneurs, and achieve economic self-reliance.
