Traffic restrictions have been imposed by the Ernakulam Rural police from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday (March 11) in the stretch between Nedumbassery and Muttom in connection with the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Heavy vehicles and goods vehicles coming towards Aluva from Angamaly should take the Angamaly–Kalady MC Road route. From 1 p.m., vehicles will not be allowed to enter the highway from side roads or service roads. Passengers travelling by the Kochi Metro will face restrictions on services between Aluva and Muttom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vehicles coming to the airport from Ernakulam should travel via the Seaport–Airport Road, turn at the Medical College Road, reach Kalady, and proceed to the airport. Vehicles coming to the airport from Angamaly should turn from the MC Road to Nayathode and proceed to the airport. Parking of vehicles will not be allowed on the road or roadside between Muttom and Nedumbassery, the police said.
