Traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place across several parts of the city on Friday in view of Sri Ramanavami Shobha Yatra, the Hyderabad Traffic Police said in an advisory.

The procession is scheduled to commence at 9 a.m. from Seetarambagh Temple and proceed towards Hanuman Vyayamshala in Sultan Bazaar, passing through key areas including Bhoiguda Kaman, Mangalhat, Dhoolpet, Puranapul, Begum Bazaar, Afzalgunj, MJ Market, Putlibowli and Koti.

Traffic diversions will be enforced along the route from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., depending on the movement of the procession.

Police said vehicles will be diverted at multiple junctions as the procession passes, with traffic being restored in phases once the tail end clears each stretch. Several arterial roads and by-lanes along the route will face restrictions during this period.

Authorities have cautioned that heavy congestion is likely at major junctions including Begum Bazaar Chatri, Afzalgunj, Shivaji Bridge, CBS, Rangmahal, Putlibowli, Koti, Abids, MJ Market, Chaderghat and Kachiguda.

Commuters have been advised to plan their travel in advance, avoid the procession route where possible and follow updates issued on official social media platforms. In case of emergencies, assistance can be sought through the traffic helpline.
