Claiming violations in the distribution of Form 12D (postal ballot) at the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited (TNSTC), Salem Division, members of the Anna Thozhirsanga Peravai have urged district election authorities to take action.

In a petition submitted to District Election Officer and the district Collector R. Brindha Devi on Wednesday (March 25, 2026), the members alleged that the Managing Director (MD) of the division was acting in favour of employees associated with DMK-affiliated trade unions by assigning them simple duties to enable participation in election campaigns. They contended that, despite the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) prohibiting officials from favouring any political party, the MD continued to violate the norms by extending such privileges.
