Tiruppur Corporation has attained close to 98 per cent of the tax target set for 2025-26 fiscal, by collecting ₹146.59 crore as on March 29. The target, the local body estimates, will be attained during the remaining two days of the year. In terms of balance, collection of ₹3.21 crore over the remaining two days of the financial year will mark completion of the target. On Monday, the local body collected close to ₹1.16 crore tax under different heads: property tax, solid waste management user charges, water supply, underground drainage, and professional tax, as per official data.
