The award was received by Jeya Agnes Daniel, director of the school, from the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Speaker M. Appavu and Collector R. Sukumar. The event was conducted under the leadership of Arul Kannan, chairman, in the presence of Arul Jothi, vice chairman, and directors Shanthi and Sethu of the school administration. Speaking as special guests at the event, the German students shared their views on Indian culture and the cultural arts festival. They said that the festival helped participants understand different languages, cultures and lifestyles while fostering a global outlook, cultural understanding, communication skills and mutual respect. National seminar The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, organised a national seminar on “Institutional Progress Framework: An Overview of NIRF and NAAC’s New Quality Benchmarks.” The seminar featured the sessions of Rajesh Kumar Dubey, director, UGC-HRDC, JNV University, Jodhpur, and B. Sivakumar, librarian of PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. At the event, UGC MMTC, Jai Narain Vyas (JNV) University, Jodhpur, and St. Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the academic collaboration and institutional quality. The MoU focused on joint initiatives in education, research and quality assurance in line with NIRF and NAAC benchmarks.
