Both events are to be held at Panjapur. The police said Mr. Modi will land in Tiruchi from Kochi by a special flight around 5.15 p.m. and immediately leave by a chopper to the function spot. He will take part in the official function at first and proceed to the public meeting venue closeby where he will address a mega gathering of NDA partners. Separate stages are being erected in connection with two functions. Upon conclusion of both programmes, Mr. Modi will travel by road to Tiruchi airport from Panjapur and leave for New Delhi by the special flight in the night. The police are drawing up a detailed security plan for Mr. Modi’s visit as Panjapur falls under their jurisdiction. The sources said helipads would be established near the function venue for the Prime Minister’s chopper to land from the Tiruchi airport. The sources said route bandobust would be provided by the police from the function spot to the airport for the Prime Minister’s convoy to pass through. DMK’s mega show Arrangements are on in full swing at Siruganur, near Tiruchi, where Mr. Stalin will address the cadre during the DMK State conference on March 9 (Monday). In view of the Chief Minister’s visit and anticipating a heavy turnout, the Tiruchi Rural Police have braced themselves up for the meeting at Siruganur adjoining the Tiruchi-Chennai national highway.
