The Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) Sanathnagar is on track for inauguration in March with a February 28 deadline fixed for completion of all pending works, according to an official press release.

Vikas Raj, Special Chief Secretary of Roads and Buildings department, inspected the facility on Friday.

The inspection was carried out in the presence of senior health officials and members from Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited. The team reviewed works across all floors, including Emergency wards, Operation Theatres, Intensive Care Units and the Central Sterile Services Department.

The contractor was directed to complete all balance civil and infrastructure works by February 28. Key installations such as 200 oxygen lines, 65 nursing stations, registration counters and an RO plant for the Emergency ward are to be completed and made ready for trial runs within the stipulated timeframe..

Health department officials were instructed to ensure essential support infrastructure, including laundry services, curtains, ICU and Emergency bed railings and hospital-wide signage, is in place by the end of the month.

To ensure operational readiness, the Director of Medical Education (DME) has been asked to immediately deploy medical and technical personnel for supervision and trial runs.

The first batch of 100 medical, paramedical and housekeeping staff will be positioned between February 12 and 28, with the full complement expected by month-end, according to the release.
