A memorial gathering will be held to honour the life and legacy of Miss Mercy Jeyaraja Rao, noted educator and mentor, who passed away on March 22 at the age of 95. The programme will be held at Timpany School in C.B.M. Compound on April 6 at 6 p.m. Born in 1930, Miss Mercy served Timpany in various capacities, including Headmistress, Principal and Executive Director, from 1954 until her retirement in 2002. She devoted her life to nurturing generations of students in the city. Former students, faculty members and well wishers from across the city are expected to attend the gathering.
