Time extended for Singanallur flyover tender

The State Highways Department has extended the time for contractors to submit bids to construct the Singanallur flyover in Coimbatore city.

An official of the department said contractors had time till February 27 to submit bids. However, there is no response and hence time has been extended till March 3. “We will certainly finalise the bids this time and entrust the work to a contractor. Land acquisition for the project is only to construct stormwater drains and hence works can commence before land acquisition is completed,” the official said.
