Based on the directions of the A.P. High Court, three arrested Maoists were interrogated at Penamaluru police station in Krishna district on Friday and Saturday. The High Court modified an earlier order of a Vijayawada court, which had directed the police to question them at Rajamahendravaram Central Jail, where they were lodged. The Krishna district police questioned the three Maoists, including a woman. They were among the 28 Maoists arrested at Penamaluru on November 18 last year. Inspector General of Police, Eluru range, G. V. G. Ashok Kumar, said an officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police questioned Madakam Diwakar, Urde Raghu and Oyam Jyothi. Gannavaram DSP Ch. Srinivas Rao said the three were shifted back to Rajamahendravaram Central Jail after the questioning on Saturday.
