“The Delhi police have busted a racket involving repackaging and sale of expired food and beverage products in Dwarka’s Sector 28 and arrested three persons,” officials said on Friday (April 3, 2026).

They said officials of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) were called to the spot to verify the firm’s licences and collect samples. After inspection, the food products bearing forged batch numbers and expiry dates were seized. These included 3,096 soft drink cans and a sizeable quantity of biscuits of multinational brands whose packaging was altered. Following the raid, the police arrested three men, identified as Kamal Mudgil, Shivam Singh and Lokesh Kumar.
