The Central Crime Branch of the Avadi City police has arrested three men involved in a land fraud by using forged documents.

According to a complaint lodged by S. Anandhakumar, 41,  Mogappair East, he had purchased 1,842 sq. ft. of a vacant plot measuring 3,746 sq. ft. located at Vivekananda Nagar, Thirumullaivoyal. The sale deed was executed on August 31, 2023, at the Ambattur Sub-Registrar from the landowner Mohan.

Based on the complaint, the Central Crime Branch registered a case and launched a search for the accused who was on the run. The market value of the disputed property is estimated at ₹65,00,000. On investigation, the police arrested Abdul Hasan Khuthoos, 39, Duraipandi, 58, and Khalilur Rahman, 51, of Ambattur.
