Three persons were arrested for allegedly stealing iron rods meant for Metro Rail construction work in Madipakkam. The police recovered around 50 kg of iron rods. According to the police, Karunakaran, 49, an administrative assistant in a private firm, stated that his company was undertaking Metro Rail construction work in Puzhuthivakkam. On Monday afternoon, three persons allegedly stole iron rods kept for construction near the Kilkattalai Metro Station on Medavakkam Main Road and fled the spot in a two-wheeler.
