An Indian Knowledge System (IKS) Centre will be inaugurated at St. Agnes College here on February 27, Friday. The centre is envisioned as a hub for rediscovering, preserving, and promoting India’s rich intellectual traditions, while fostering dialogue between traditional wisdom and modern academic scholarship, a release from the college said. The centre will serve as a beacon of learning, research, and innovation, nurturing respect for India’s knowledge traditions and their relevance in today’s world, B.K. Vishala, coordinator of IKS, and Sabina D’Souza, coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college, said in a release. An exhibition titled ‘Roots of Knowledge: India’s Living Heritage’ will be held on the occasion and is open to the public. Vivek Alva, managing trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri, will inaugurate the centre at 10 a.m. M. Venissa, principal of the college, will preside over the event.
