Two panel discussions on ‘Digital Governance and Technological Advancement’ and ‘Policy Frameworks in Times of Geopolitical Uncertainty’ to be held in Chennai on April 2 will seek to shed light on future careers in public policy, governance, and international affairs. The event, ‘The Future Reimagined: Discover, Decide, Define Your Career’, is part of the Future Career Conversations series organised by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) and The Hindu, and will be held at the Madras Management Association, Anna Salai, between 5.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. The first session will explore how technology is transforming public administration and service delivery, and will include Atulya Mishra, State Information Commissioner, Tamil Nadu; Santhosh Babu, Managing Director, Kerala State IT Infrastructure Ltd; Murali Sundaram, Senior Technology Consultant; and P. Sree Sudha, Dean, SRM School of Law. The session will be moderated by Kunal Shankar, Deputy Business Editor, The Hindu. The second session will focus on global challenges and their impact on policymaking. It will include Air Marshal (Retd.) M. Matheswaran, former Deputy Chief, Integrated Defence Staff; Commodore (Retd.) R.S. Vasan, Director General, Chennai Centre for China Studies; A. Vinay Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, SRMIST; and Nayanima Basu, independent journalist specialising in foreign policy and security.
