S.R. Praveen, Principal Correspondent at The Hindu’s Thiruvananthapuram bureau, has won the Swaraj Media Award 2026 for Best Reporter in the English print media category. He has been chosen in recognition of his feature ‘How Kerala eradicated extreme poverty’. The award carries a cash prize of ₹25,000, a citation and a memento. The awards were announced by Minister for Local Self-Governments M.B. Rajesh at a press conference here on Monday.
