The Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has initiated disciplinary action against two doctors following a suo motu inquiry into alleged unethical practices at a diagnostic centre in Suryapet. According to a press note issued by the TGMC on Monday, the inquiry found that Kiran Kumar Soma had falsely presented himself as a qualified radiologist without possessing a recognised qualification. The investigation further revealed that he continued to practise with an expired registration and had fabricated documents. In view of these violations, the TGMC has ordered the removal of his name from the Medical Register for a period of two years, effectively barring him from practising during this time. In the same case, Shaik Zulfakar Ali was found guilty of practising without valid registration. The TGMC has imposed a censure on him for the violation. The action follows the Council’s inquiry into irregularities at Apple Scan Centre in Suryapet.
