Tension prevailed among advocates and litigant public after the District Court in Belagavi received an email with a bomb threat on Tuesday. A team of city police officers led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Narayan Baramani arrived on the spot. The police team vacated all court halls and advocates chambers, within minutes. The city dog squad was summoned to the spot. Sniffer dogs went round all the rooms. The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that the court officials received the email in the morning and alerted the police. However, it turned out to be a hoax. Investigation is on.
