In a move to boost the IT sector in tier II and tier III cities of Tamil Nadu, TIDEL NEO Ltd. has floated tenders for the construction of mini tidel parks in Tirunelveli and Kanniyakumari districts at a cost of ₹37 crore each.

The organisation has identified a prime location at Nagercoil in Kanniyakumari district and Reddiyarpati in Tirunelveli district for the projects. The mini tidel parks are expected to generate employment opportunities for local youth in the regions.

In July 2025, Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa visited the two districts to identify suitable sites for the establishments of the neo tidel parks. Following his visit, officials conducted a feasibility study at shortlisted locations. After submission and approval of the report, Tidel Neo Ltd. has floated tender for construction of IT office building comprising ground plus three floor with a terrace at both locations. The scope of work includes civil construction, heating ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), elevator, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant, fire protection, plumbing, structural facade, landscaping and integrated building management system.

According to sources, around 3.5 acres of land at Reddiyarpatti and six acres of land at Nagercoil have been earmarked for the project. “Feasibility studies at both sites, including soil bearing capacity tests, were conducted and the reports were submitted. While the mini tidel parks are designed to have a built-up area of around 60,000 sq. ft., the remaining land will be reserved for future expansions, based on the demand,” the sources added.
